You can probably find some deals at www.noc.com; it's the end of our season and we do have some closeouts going on. Let me know what you decide on!

You shouldn't need to spend more than $350 to $400. Any of the name brands are good. Mountain Hardware, NorthFace, Sierra Designs. Make sure they are 3 season. My advice always is layers based on the weather. If it's winter camping, make sure everything is 4 season if you are above 3000' in elevation or in the Northern Tier of States. I chose to seperate from the company and ened up with a loyalty marketing company. Completely different and I'm very glad I made that choice.
