Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill, located at South Coast Plaza, has announced its Chile Fest menu that will be available September 4-23. The annual promo is patterned after the famous the Hatch, New Mexico festival that for more than 4 decades has celebrated chile peppers and the versatile role they play in the culinary world. Executive Chef Daniel Stevens said that each menu item will contain Hatch New Mexico chiles and for each entrée sold $1 will be donated to Team Kids, a nonprofit based in Irvine that encourages local youth to become involved in community and charitable work.
Among the limited time menu items are Chile Onion Rings for $8.50 ($7.95 lunch) and Chicken and Crab Rellenos for $15.95 ($13.95 lunch). Exclusive to the lunch menu are Chile Shrimp Rolled Tacos for $12.95 and a Chile Burger for $11.95. Available for dinner only are Green Chile Sopes with braised chicken atop borracho bean purée and chile cornbread for $12.95 and Pacific Rockfish Veracruz for $19.95.
Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill offers a wide array of fresh, flavorful and innovative menu items inspired by culinary influences from Louisiana, Texas, California and Mexico.
