Voice of the Restaurant Industry
In the last couple of weeks, you have likely seen at least one reference to #NoKidHungry. Between Go Orange Day, avatars bearing the distinctive orange Twibbons, our SNAP protection advocacy work, and our general No Kid Hungry September outreach, we've been able to use the power of social media to help bring awareness to the issue of childhood hunger in America.
To really band the restaurant industry and other anti-hunger advocates together, we also continued our tradition of the holding the annual TwEAT OUT. This year, we had our TwEAT OUT on Monday, September 17th. We are thrilled to report that in one day we had:
by 1,600+ unique tweeters
reaching 11.2+ million tweeters
leaving 68.6+ million impressions
#NoKidHungry was also a trending topic in Los Angeles, Dayton, DC, San Antonio, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Lexington, NYC, Houston, and Dallas. We even trended internationally - In Saitama Japan!
Thanks to all of you who made the TwEAT OUT such a gigantic success! We all have a strength to share in the fight to end childhood hunger in America. By harnessing the power of social media in conjunction with the generosity of the restaurant industry, we will make #NoKidHungry a reality.
