FohPros
Socially Networked Foodservice Professionals

August 2010

Do you have a passion for the foodservice industry that is often unmatched by those around you? Do you have a desire to improve on your performance and a willingness to learn and adapt? Do you have moments throughout your day when you genuinely feel 'connected to your purpose' and want to share that passion with others?

If you are nodding your head, keep reading.

Do you use sites like FohBoh, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and Youtube to connect with other foodservice professionals who share your enthusiasm? Can you envision the future of this industry as it adopts and implements social media on an operational level, and mainstreams the networking activity in which some of us already engage? Do you want to be part of this exciting transition, and establish your footprint as a social networking foodservice pro?

Still nodding your head? Great!

FohBoh wants to give you a platform that makes all this possible. We are looking for more voices to feature in our guest FohBohist slot. We will also promote your FohBoh profile on our Facebook page, our Twitter feed, and our Linkedin group page. Basically, you will be introduced to tens of thousands of foodservice professionals who follow FohBoh.

So, for the next few weeks, we will be selecting members from the community who have submitted quality blog posts, and display the following:

Engagement: you are active on comment threads
Thought Leadership: you are sharing your insights
Warmth: you are welcoming new members
Passion: we all know what this means
Content Sharing: you are uploading rich media

FohPro: Marcus Guiliano

Thanks to all of you who've responded with such enthusiasm to this post. The next step is for each of you to demonstrate the 5 behaviors listed above. If you really want to get a leg up, submit a blog post that tells us all a bit more about yourself. Again, in the social media game, it's all about pull (not push), so please do not spam our community or blatantly self promote yourself. Give us a reason to want to know you better. Good luck!
