The Restaurants Association of Ireland is the representative group for the Irish Restaurant Industry. The Association has over 600 members and provides a wide array of benefits and services to restaurant owners. They have a
facebook fan page, a nice website and a great spirit in challenging times. But, isn't that just part of being Irish?
We love the notion of planting a FohBoh flag internationally. In fact we have since day one. Why not. Foodservice is pretty much everywhere - restaurants operate 24 hours a day worldwide and pretty much the same way in most countries. FOH + BOH happens everyday and worldwide. Raw ingredients come in the back and customers in the front. That's one of the best parts of the FohBoh community as we have visitors and members from over 185 countries. That's such a powerful source of knowledge and perspective, you really should reach out and connect with someone from another country. Ask them questions about operations, supply chain, human resources, ingredients, the job market, real estate, marketing, and menu planning. Share specials and promotion ideas and circle back to let them know how it did.
Find new foodservice industry connections using the

So, rather than just suggest that you find a connection in another country, we are also reaching out internationally and expanding our knowledge and making connections too. We are looking to Ireland as a good place to start. Why? It's a small but old market with a passion for food, pubs and hospitality. We view it as a gateway to Europe and hope that we can plant that first international flag in Ireland soon.
FohBoh Ireland...sounds good, eh?
Cheers!
