There are many steps to becoming successful. One of the most important and one that often gets overlooked is to become involved in the community. Find a charity or a cause that you and your crew can support. find an area that is in need and go for it. There may be hurdles that you have to jump. It may cost you money. It will take your time and the time of your crew. The rewards will far out way what you put into it.
At Cook's our management is involved with the local business associations and we support many of the area needs as they approach us. One of the things that we are most proud of is our annual Christmas Party to support the Harpswell Home Heating Assistance Program. The entire crew and many local businesses get involved. It creates a feeling of community and that is what a business needs in order to gather the good will of the surrounding area.
