Voice of the Restaurant Industry

Please Join me in Congratulating Anthony (GM), Phillip, Theresa, Greg, Amanda (PTM) and Ivette (Regional PTM) On their success yesterday in the city wide Chili Cook-Off. There were over 20 contributors to the contest and chains involved included Texas Roadhouse, Long Horn, Red Robin, Three Brothers, Super Suppers Restaurant, Monterey Mexican Restaurant, Outback, Jasper's, California Tortilla, Hard Times Cafe and Glory Day's. There were five awards to be handed out at the competition. Four of the awards were decided on by a distinguished panel of celebrity judges from the
local government and community. Those awards were Spiciest, Most Unique, Best Overall and Judges Choice. The fifth award was to be decided by all of the patrons that attended the event that day. It was named the Peoples Choice Award. The team from Bowie made it a priority to represent the brand in "Best In Class" fashion. The Décor of the booth blew away all of the other competitors and the Specialty Chili that GM Anthony Hamilton put together using our Uno Chili as a base was a huge hit. The regional and local PTM's brilliantly utilized the event as a forum to explain to the crowd of over 500 our sincere desire to build our relationship with the city and local community groups. The team made many new friends and represented the brand very well. At the end of the day when the awards were announced the Bowie Uno's team took home all five awards. Needless to say I am extremely proud of their performance. This is exactly the type of representation that we need at a Regional, Divisional and Company level.

Thanks Andy. We pride ourselves on community involvement. As we as a business do live off our community it is imoportant that we find ways to give back to the people that provide for us.
