Customer Relations = Loyalty, TracFone Sends a Message

As I read Bill Campion's " I'll Get Back to Ya Babe! " I could relate.

Customer service and customer relations seem to be in fail mode in an incredible number of businesses. I tend, now, to be on the defensive when contacting a business , expecting the worst, which sets the stage for a negative experience.

There are some businesses, however, that understand how important a… Continue

Financial Sustained Growth In Agriculture Sector Vital For Global Food Security

(RTTNews) - A sustained growth in the agriculture sector is needed to guarantee global food security in the future, a Deutsche bank study has found. The increasing need for consumers to switch to a more balanced and healthy diet is also stressed by the German firm, observing that a more expansive diet has several adverse implications for both human and environmental… Continue

FROM MY WINDOW: FRESH THE MOVIE - is a call to action to better our food system,

What I like about the reviews is that it means to inspire its viewers to positive change, not scare them into a terrified complacency. A movie whose goal is to create a more healthy, tasty, and sustainable future. There will be screenings all over and you can check it out at http://freshthemovie.com.

The majority of the screenings will be followed by a panel discussion with local representatives from the sustainable food movement so audience members can learn what’s going on in their… Continue

There was a retraction

Earlier this week I posted a blog that I soon removed because I felt it was unfocused, unproductive, and too negative for this kind of online community.

Everyone at FohBoh is here to get advice, network, and make connections in the overall hospitality field. Period dot.

If you read that blog, please disregard what I wrote. There was a reason I hadn't posted it earlier, and it became more apparent to me that it shouldn't have left my brain.

Take Responsibility For Your Business

WOW! I can't believe all the whining that is going on in this country right now. Yes, times are very hard and a lot of people are struggling just to put food on their table. But what is all this blame that is being passed around through emails about everything from the economy to what Oprah tells her viewers?

We can all blame Congress for the deep recession we're in right now, but who really let our country get this way? We did. We're the ones that took out subprime mortgages. We're… Continue

Collateral Damage

It's a crisis, for sure. I have worked in and around the financial services industry, particularly corporate finance and investment banking for most of my career. This is the worst I have ever seen. That's the obvious statement and focuses on the capital markets; investment banks closing, being sold and bankers being fired with an incredible $700 billion lost.

I am now interested in how this affects the retail market; main… Continue

French Sour Grapes

Knowing what your competition is doing is just plain smart. Others have accused me of being paranoid about my competitors, but I have a healthy respect for the other guy, and I know enough about this weird world of marketing to know that I am not the only one thinking or strategizing in a certain way. They say that there is nothing new under the sun, and perhaps that’s true. I do know that if I am planning…
