Biography
Since its debut in early 2002, Food and Drink has profiled a wide range of leading companies in the food and drink industry, including divisions of McDonalds, Compass Group and White Hen Pantry. In addition, it has published news and expert advice about such vital topics as food safety and employee training.
"This industry is dynamic and exciting, and it’s been fun to cover its most important trends for the past half-decade," said Senior Food Editor Erica Burke. In the March/April 2007 issue of Food and Drink, Burke explored the growing trend of restaurants sourcing locally grown food. "That's the sort of editorial that keeps this magazine exciting," Burke said, "and we look forward to covering other developments in the next five years."

Hello Erica, Thought I would introduce myself. I do public relations for upscale restaurants in Chicago and on a project-basis in other states. SOme of my clients are Le Titi de Paris, Cyrano's Bistrot & Wine Bar, Chalkbaord, etc. My email is sherri@maddickmedia.com. I used to be a reporter before doign this for the last 22 years so I don;t bug editors with worthless information and I am quick to meet deadlines - so if you ever need quotes or info, please keep me posted on what you need and I can hopefully be of assitance -
Neither are new positions--Scott Hume was the ME before he was Exec ME, then Exec Editor and then Editor in Chief. The ME role has been open since Scott moved up. Now Scott is moving out and both roles are open...
Either will report to Pat Dailey, the publisher and editorial director.
I would love to pick your brain a bit - I am a rep for Gordon Food Service in the metro Chicago area, and have a passion for raising my customers' games. I would love to get some insights from you on where the industry is going. Let me know if you would be interested in helping me out
Can you send them to me at the address below? Thanks! Let me know if you're interested in seeing any issues of Restaurants & Institutions (or maybe you already receive it?)...

I saw that you are writing a story about food and professional social networks. I know someone involved in this industry who would be a great person to talk with.
Please contact me to discuss.
