What a week!

Well I had intended to start the Meta-Physical posts on running a restaurant when I was asked to help remodel one of Johannesburg's most popular restaurants - the catch? we had to close, strip, and remodel in just 6 1/2 days...



The schedule was non negotiable - as the 90 seater restaurant serves up to (and often over) 200 meals an hour during peak times. The loss of income should the restaurant not re-open on time would have been enormous.

Food businesses failing...

Browsing fohboh I see that there is a really strong accent on 'making money' and while this is the purpose of the food 'business' I have always used a very different approach.



As a student and teacher of Applied Meta-Physics I have always looked to the 'inner workings' of the mind and of the food business to understand how it works.

Thanks for the invite Andy... I am browsing around getting familiar with the site and seeing where I can participate. After 32 years in this profession and through studying Meta-Physics I use an approach that emphasises on re-creating circumstances and teaching skills - rather than in 'training' in the usual way and trying to 'fix' things by patching them... so we shall see where it leads. It's all about the people - every system we create must serve the people, but too often the people are made slave to the system!

Darden Announces Leadership Succession Plan

Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: DRI) announced that Clarence Otis is stepping down as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Darden's Board of Directors has appointed the Company's current Independent Lead Director, Charles A. Ledsinger, Jr., as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, effective immediately.
