Biography

With Johnson Gray, a full-service agency, Randy brings over 20 years of restaurant and marketing experience.As Vice President, National Accounts for Fishbowl Marketing, Randy developed email marketing and loyalty programs for national chains including Culver’s, KFC, Daphne’s Greek Café, and Red Robin.
Previous roles include Vice President of Marketing for Ruby’s Diner and Del Taco where his campaigns garnered positive comp sales and industry attention for his “Product Placement” campaign.
As Vice President of Marketing for Buca, Inc., he developed strategic marketing programs and brand building tactics for Buca di Beppo and Vinny T’s of Boston restaurants. Previous marketing leadership positions include T.G.I. Friday’s and Arnold Palmer Golf Management. More than a traditional marketing practitioner, his operations background allows him to understand the specific challenges individual restaurants face as well as strategic resources needed to grow the global “brand”.
He is a frequent guest lecturer on the topics of field marketing tactics, brand building, and public relations. He is currently a member of the National Restaurant’s Association (NRA) Marketing Executives Group and American Marketing Association. As a featured spokesperson for the Colon Cancer Alliance (CCA) and Stage 4 cancer survivor, he speaks to a national audience on cancer awareness, prevention, and hope. Recently, he was featured on CNN’s Special Investigation: Saving Your Life hosted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Lance Armstrong. Randy has been featured in BRANDweek, Adweek, Nation’s Restaurant News, Inland Empire Magazine, and Restaurants & Institutions among others.
