Emplyee party sets stage for regional Challenge.

The annual employee party for the Cook's Lobster House team was the stepping stone for what is now a goal to be the regional best at restaurant challenge. Two intense competitions were held for the right to be called the best. The Server obstacal course. Servers walk and run through a course carrying four martini glasses full to the top, trying to avoid spilling. The second compititon was a silverware sorting competition. There are many steps to becoming successful. One of the most important and one that often gets overlooked is to become involved in the community. Find a charity or a cause that you and your crew can support. find an area that is in need and go for it. There may be hurdles that you have to jump. It may cost you money. Darden Announces Leadership Succession Plan

Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: DRI) announced that Clarence Otis is stepping down as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Darden's Board of Directors has appointed the Company's current Independent Lead Director, Charles A. Ledsinger, Jr., as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. The Company also announced that it has amended its corporate governance policies to provide for the separation of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer roles.
