What comes first? Job or family?

You have an employee who stays to help you when you are understaffed due to circumstances such as people calling in. That employee in turn needs your help, they can't stay for that extra shift because they have a situation at home that needs their attention. A family member is in the hospital and that employee needs to take care of some personal business and the employee explains this to the manager in charge of that shift. However, you will be understaffed without them. How would you handle…See More

The Importance of a Smile

Posted on September 30, 2008 at 9:33pm 1 Comment

"A SMILE costs you nothing, but gives much. It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it. A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and is nature's… Continue

Yes, I have been with Mazzio's for a long time. If you are in Northern MO the closest Mazzio's might be in Burlington Iowa. We also have locations in the Sedalia, Marshall and Warrensburg area as well. Corporately we only operate the Mazzio's brand but do have a few Ken's franchisees in the Oklahoma market.
Take Care,
David

Well, a few months ago, we had flood all around. Our street
was OK, but I couldn't go anyplace, because, all the roads and bridges were washed out. It made "Today" and all the news shows. I think we had winter til almost May !

Luckily, there's a grocery store just up the street.
