Matt is the Director of the American Barista & Coffee School and is one of four lead baristas in Bellissimo's Advanced Barista Training/Fancy Pours DVD. He regularly speaks at Coffee Fest, Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA), and other industry tradeshows and has been quoted in numerous newspapers and industry magazines. Matt sits on the SCAA Training Committee and the Espresso Training Sub-Committee. Matt placed third in the Millrock Latte Art Competition at Coffee Fest Atlanta in 2007 and is a certified barista competition judge for USBC regional competitions. He is the founder of and, and spends his spare time promoting coffee quality and education.

Coffee Carts, Kiosks and Mobile Cafés

It was the winter of 1993 and I was 15 minutes late to work, opening shift at the small espresso cart I worked at part-time located in front of a large grocery store. It was cold out, but I was eager to start working. I loved that little cart. Darden Announces Leadership Succession Plan

Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: DRI) announced that Clarence Otis is stepping down as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Darden's Board of Directors has appointed the Company's current Independent Lead Director, Charles A. Ledsinger, Jr., as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, effective immediately.
