Hi Marty,
Great to meet with you today! It sounds like OpenTable is a good fit for the customer database you are looking for. I look forward to working with you in the spring! Cheers, Rebecca
Marty, sorry about the delay in getting back to you - I have been out of the country!! I have some ideas and would love to kibbutz with you, but it might be better by email. send me a note at mmurphy@M2Ggroup.com with your contact info and I can at least communicate by email. 1st and foremost - like Randy says below - you need to start building a list of your diners. I think you need a good CRM tool. If you are reservation driven, there are a few GREAT ways to build your list and start driving incremental revenue as well. If you don not take resos - there are still a huge number of tools and technology out there to help you BUILD business, without coupons and discounts. Drop me a line!!!
Marty, if you don't have a list of your existing customers, you need to start one. There are several ways to do that including adding a sign up form on your website to automate the process, allowing your guests to enter their own information, which ensures accuracy and saves you time. I have found offering an incentive is a great way to go about this. Holding a monthly draw in the restaurant is a great way to get customers information as well. You can also try using a bounce back offer, given to each customer when they leave the restaurant, again offering an incentive to join your preferred guest club, or birthday anniversary club or what ever other name you want to use. Please let me know a good time for me to call you. I would love to help you get started on the right foot. Send me an email to rstefan@restaurantmarketing.ca with your phone number and best time to reach you and i will give you call to discuss further. Randy
Marty, you left a comment on wanting to know how to start keeping track of and reaching out to your current customer base. I would be happy to help and make some suggestions on where to look. I offer these services, or I can point you in a general direction (No Sales Pitch). Feel free to reach out to me and I would love to hear more about your operation.
Glad you like the wine. I spent the day with Chris at his vineyard and then went to his home had a tasting of a new wine him and Dan produce thats coming here soon on his deck over looking Barossa valley and then he did this awesome dinner.
