Thank you for the advice Malin. It really makes sense. I hope that you will be able to buy your family their home. The market is supposed to be bottomed out by August I here. So maybe in the next year or so you'll be able to buy! My mom was our realtor and she helped get us in quickly. I didn't have to worry about too much, I just wish we would've waited a little longer. But do go to a couple of loan officers. See who can give you the best deal. It really makes a difference.

I work at Applebee's as a bartender/trainer. I am also in school because I want to work in Human Resources. I enjoy being around people and putting them in a great mood. :o) I am 24 and I have been married for almost two years now, we bought a house a year ago. Not such a good time to buy but we love it :o) I want a family too, I just don't know when yet. How old were you when you became a father?

How do you like your new profession?

Hey Malin,

my father has a house in Venice, so I really need to move my sea kayak from up north on Lake Michigan down to Venice. I've sea kayaked with dolphins at Hilton Head, and also on Mono Lake in California...there are some pictures of that in the photo section on my page.

Any time you want to come up to the mountains and learn whitewater kayaking, let me know. We had an Olympic qualifier here last weekend for whitewater slalom. NOC is a USA Canoe and Kayak center of excellence, and half of the olympic teams over the years have trained or worked here at NOC.

I'll have an article with some photos on my personal blog later this week about the event, being in whitewater, in a kayak, in a raft, in a duckie, is very cool. Anytime you want to give it a try, give me a call and I'll hook you up!

I recommend you join the Local Store Marketing (LSM) Group for inexpensive ways to help market your business and increase sales, the Coffee Lovers Group because, just about everyone working in a restaurant or restaurant-related profession drinks coffee, and the Leading Generation Y Group because the young people working in restaurants today are part of Generation Y and they have unique desires, needs, and an outlook on work, and finally the Ambitions Group because we all have ambitions and dreams, and this is the place to articulate them, find other kindred spirits, and receive positive support from a great bunch of people.
