Well I must admit it sounds very interesting!! Will you hire me if I come to US???? I'd love the experience!(just kidding) So are the core wines American only? Would you be interested in Greek wines for example?
My mother has a winery here in Greece and she works in Canada with a Fantastic lady called Caterina Pizanias who markets and tries to position Greek wines in Canada. And of course she has our wines, which by the way are only two. A white (roditis-Chardonnay) and a red (st george variety - or also known by the greek name: Agiorgitiko). Either way she knows a lot of people in Canada and maybe she could help you out (if of course you are interested). I'm just mentioning it as an idea..
Does your company have a site I could visit?
Here in Greece on the other hand. although we have wonderful wines, people are still not much into it. THey drink a lot of it in the big cities - Athens, THessalonika - but in the country side people are still uneducated on wine. They ALL have a barrel at home and they really believe that the wine they produce for their houses is actually drinkable and of course very very very good!!! HELPLESS i tell you!!! Of course they refuse to drink bottled wine in restaurants and tavernas because firstly it's expensive, and second EVERY taverna has its house wine at cheap cost (which by the way is undrinkable). Not very optimistic is it!?
Oh well... that's life! With good and bad things! Keeps the balance!
So do you still do martial arts? what are your hobbies? I bet you must have loads of choices in the US with dozens of things to do... I bet you also don't have much time though!
I'm for the moment unemployed which in a way is nice because i have time for skiing, going to the gym, i'm even thinking of starting Take wodoo (however you write it...) classes, a lot of walking and jogging, and i'm hoping soon to start swimming in the sea. Yes, i like sports! it's good for you!
Anyway, I'll stop here with my chating! (women talk to much!)
Talk soon

I work at The Melting Pot Restaurants corporate office based in Tampa, FL. We are a fondue restaurant chain franchise and have 129 restaurants in the US and 42 in development. We have been in business for more than 30 years and provide our guests with a memorable four-course fondue dining experience. My position is operations coordinator and I am also the vice president of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association - Hillsborough chapter. I love working for The Melting Pot and the owners of the company are great to work for. When out in public, I always have people come up to me and comment about our restaurants when I wear one of my Melting Pot shirts. We are going to a franchise trade show in Canada soon and are looking at Toronto, Canada first. As far as our wine program goes we require our locations to have certain wines we call our core wines and they can also add as many wines to their menu as they want. We have a wine committee that considers wines for the core wine list, a beverage survival guide, responsible alcohol training and recently implemented an interactive, educational online wine training tool with the help of one of our core wine partners. We also conduct a wine training class when we send our training teams to open new locations.

Hello Lydia. I saw your were in Greece and also a Sommelier. My martial arts instructor was from Sparta and always had interesting stories to tell us when he returned from Greece. I work for a restaurant chain called The Melting Pot Restaurants. We don't have any locations outside the US but are looking to expand into Canada. I am also involved in the wine program for our restaurants so I thought I'd say hello.

I love this guy.
The Fondue concept sounds interesting. What states in the US are you planning to expand or franchise?
