I love Starbucks. I don't love their prices but that will be another blog. My question is....Why doesn't Starbucks recycle? With all the plastic coffee lids and paper cups they serve daily~why don't they have a recycling bin in their gazillion stores?

Hi Kristen!
I work with ChartHouse Learning and we have a unique opportunity for everyone in the Vegas area. We are the folks that created the FISH! Philosophy based on the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle and we are premiering FISH! The Musical in Las Vegas on September 25th. The show is free and positioned as entertainment with a message for businesses and organizations. Write back and let me know if you're interested and we'll get you set up with a seat or two. If you know anything about FISH! you know it will be FUN!
Take Care.

Just checked the comment about bottles. I will call you to do the quotes and all. I am looking for plastic/eco/green bottles. The short 5oz versions with med holes on top for shakers. Very cool that you do that. Trying to stay eco-friendly/plastic.

Hi there. I checked out your website. Do you do food packaging, or just the design of it? Co-packaging?

I am starting up a spice/sauce company and sourcing for suppliers. Saw you and wanting to know. PS: my 3.5 yo daughter loves PINK!

Hi Kristin, you may be interested in a spot on our State of Nevada Page, or any other of the 50 States' Pages. We are getting ready to add Food and Paper goods pages to our website as soon as we get our Restaurant Equipment pages off the ground (probably Late this week). Our web targets the Restaurant and FoodService Industry as a whole, with special emphasis on pre-opening research and resources. All of our current clients are in the Atlanta, Ga area and you can see examples of the pages that we create for them on our Website Sponsors Page. Since we are on the verge of branching out, our prices are very reasonable for the amount of work that we do. Our clients in Atlanta have had very good success. At the very least, I think that we should exchange links to increase our page ranking in the search engines.

TED: Hamish Jolly: A shark-deterrent wetsuit (and it's not what you think) - Hamish Jolly (2013)

Hamish Jolly, an ocean swimmer in Australia, wanted a wetsuit that would deter a curious shark from mistaking him for a potential source of nourishment. (Which, statistically, is rare, but certainly a fate worth avoiding.) Working with a team of scientists, he and his friends came up with a fresh approach — not a shark cage, not a suit of chain-mail, but a sleek suit that taps our growing understanding of shark vision.

TED: Michel Laberge: How synchronized hammer strikes could generate nuclear fusion - Michel Laberge (2014)

Our energy future depends on nuclear fusion, says Michel Laberge. The plasma physicist runs a small company with a big idea for a new type of nuclear reactor that could produce clean, cheap energy. His secret recipe? High speeds, scorching temperatures and crushing pressure. In this hopeful talk, he explains how nuclear fusion might be just around the corner.

TED: Sarah Lewis: Embrace the near win - Sarah Lewis (2014)

At her first museum job, art historian Sarah Lewis noticed something important about an artist she was studying: Not every artwork was a total masterpiece. She asks us to consider the role of the almost-failure, the near win, in our own lives. In our pursuit of success and mastery, is it actually our near wins that push us forward?

TED: Matthew Carter: My life in typefaces - Matthew Carter (2014)

Pick up a book, magazine or screen, and more than likely you'll come across some typography designed by Matthew Carter. In this charming talk, the man behind typefaces such as Verdana, Georgia and Bell Centennial (designed just for phone books -- remember them?), takes us on a spin through a career focused on the very last pixel of each letter of a font.
