We’ve been through a few years of ever better good times in the industry, and now again, we are paying for it. While two years ago the options for restaurant professionals were endless, they are now..well less endless.

You know the problems: Rising prices, some municipal administrations like San Francisco passing ordinances which take hundreds of thousands of… Continue

Well, that's special, but I am not, rather in Paris and trying to get my work done with limited computer access. Less grafitti would be appreciated. Chef John who?

Thank you, Michael..It's Jo Lynne..sort of like Billy Joe Bob..the more names you have on the first line, the bigger the trailer. (OK, never owned one, but happened to get born below the Mason Dixon Line, but I still count as a SF native).

We have been building the structure for Guest First (www.guestfirstgroup.com) as I have been expanding the chef consultancy functions of the agency (will be up soon, I hope). Today we arranged for the old corporate chef for one of the cruise lines to take over the consulting chefs as well as the emergency chefs, as Howard Cummins continues to deal with our management recruiting. All and all it's been a challenging two months.

Thank you all for your comments. We have added a page of links to Howard Cummins space, Prohospitalitysearch.com, with links to many good recent articles about the industry, mostly from the management side. www.prohsospitalitysearch.com/links.html - please enjoy.

Hate to ask this, but we've met? Just asking. It's possible that I am just slipping a cog here.
