Biography: Jim Ulcickas founded Bluewater Grill with his partner Rick Staunton in 1996. Jim currently oversees all aspects of Bluewater Grill's marketing.

Jim was born and raised in Connecticut, and is a Dartmouth graduate of Economics. Upon graduating in 1983 he joined W. R. Grace & Co. where he worked as a financial analyst in the restaurant department and Assistant to the Chairman, J. Peter Grace.

From 1985-1989 he worked in operations for various divisions of Grace Restaurant Company, including Coco�s, Carrows, Baxter�s, Reuben�s, El Torito and Gladstone�s 4 Fish.

In 1989 he joined American Restaurant Group, Inc., in Newport Beach, CA as Controller of Spoons, a $35 million division with 20 restaurants and 1,400 employees. He was responsible for the financial management of day-to-day operations, strategic planning, budgeting, and the maintenance of internal control systems.

During his tenure with Spoons, the concept was expanded by 50% and the National Sports Grill concept was developed and expended to six units. Jim has solid experience in unit-level and district management, with a focus on multi-unit operations.
