I was recently reading about a system the sucks up all the heat that comes off the kitchen equipment and recirculates it throughout the building.   Another is radiant heated flooring, solar water heaters, and take a little extra care in…

Gift Cards - With A Little Extra!

Posted on December 4, 2008 at 6:42am 0 Comments

In my opinion, gift giving was made just a little easier when companies started selling gift cards to their customers. I am the type of person that often waits until the last minute to shop (of course, I always have an excuse about work or family related activities that kept me from this task) and even with a reduced number of choices, I still have a hard time choosing the right gifts.

I can never get the right size clothing for my wife or the age appropriate toy for my children. Even if I… Continue

02/12/09 PAPA JOHN’S FOUNDER JOHN SCHNATTER SERVES PIZZA TO TROOPS STATIONED IN KUWAIT

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (February 13, 2009) – In 2003 Papa John’s International (NASDAQ: PZZA) made one of its most important deliveries ever when it delivered pizzas to air force troops stationed in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. This week, Papa John’s Founder John Schnatter did one better by visiting the region and helping serve more than 250 troops stationed at Camp Buehring in Kuwait.

Schnatter also… Continue

Pizza Delivery Driver - Employment of choice?

Posted on July 30, 2008 at 7:37am 2 Comments

As with all food delivery businesses, gas prices are affecting our ability at Papa John's to recruit and retain delivery drivers. While tips are usually good for those drivers with adequate hospitality skills and we do have incentives for our delivery drivers, we are always on the lookout for creative ways to attract and retain delivery drivers.

If you were/are 18 or older and looking for a job, what perks/incentives might entice you to consider a job as a pizza delivery… Continue

ha, yes, and I showed this to our programmer...way too long. we just have several new releases that they have in a higher priority. That's changing. You have been credited 15,000 points, it's just not on your profile yet.

The wings coupons issue is a function of how we were asked to set up wings in PROFIT. Eddy and Joe Brooks are looking into changes that could help on the CMS side, but until Toppable Products release gets out in the field, there isn't much we can do to change the setup. Derrick is right in that this issue has been there since wings were first added to PROFIT, but given the numerous quantities and sauce options we currently have, it just made the setup more obvious.

My team doesn't add or modify coupons in the system. That's up to the operators (if they added the coupons manually) or to the Marketing groups if they added coupons to the stores via CMSII.

Very cool. We are affiliated with North American River Runners (http://www.narr.com). And the owners of Class VI River Runners (http://www.class-vi.com/) are good friends of mine as well. I'd recommend both companies, and if you have any detailed questions, please consider me a resource. You can find all kinds of pictures of me rafting with both of them on my blog: http://michiganrafter.blogspot.com; in the photos in my profile here on FohBoh or on my facebook page.

Be forewarned that your experience on the New or Gauley in West Virginia may be more or less extreme than others, including a higher or lesser risk of flipped rafts, depending on which company you choose.

Have an awesome day and stay warm out there!

Hey Jeff...your page says you are interested in the outdoors and that you are a director of training....few outdoors activities have the potential for building teams and trust better than whitewater rafting. If you're looking to take some team building outside the four walls, let me know and I can put you in touch with activities on a range of rivers. Or if you just want to organize a whitewater give me a call. And while I'm here commenting, how come there aren't any Papa Johns in Bryson City, NC where I live now? Or the Southfield/Beverly Hills/Bloomfield Hills area of Michigan where I'm from? I was home for Thanksgiving and couldn't get pizza delivered from anywhere...not even Dominos.

Have an awesome day!
