I've discovered over the decades that my gut instinct is usually better than all the surveys and focus groups put together. This is a concept that I am uniquely qualified to manage and this is just the tip of the iceburg. So, I couldn't give up control. I wouldn't have a problem, however, giving up a premium ROI, if he is open to the idea. I do work well with others ;-)

I know what I don’t know and it sounds like this guy would be a great resource for me. My other investors have requested a board of directors and I am thrilled to have them. One sits on the board of another restaurant chain. The bigger the brain trust, the better we will all do.
