How to Educate Your Staff about Food Allergies

I consider myself quite fortunate. None of my kids, my husband, nor I have food allergies. However, two of my nieces have severe food allergies, so taking them to a restaurant can be a daunting trip. My brother-in-law and his wife are diligent in analyzing a restaurants menu to ensure that their children’s food does not contain these items, nor do they come in contact…See More

5 Topics a Restaurant Should Never Post About on Facebook

I’m shocked how many times I’ve opened my Facebook Profile to see what’s going on in the world, only to have my mouth hit the floor by a restaurant post! Hanady Burkett-Awada commented on Steven Groves's blog post McD's recent campaign in social; did they blow it? Blame it on the #Hashtag
"McD did a great job of minimizing what could have been a huge social media fiasco. There's a big lesson here. Companies need to consider all possible uses of a particular hashtag (positive and negative) before launching to determine its risks."
