rounded big thinker. Focused dreamer. Pusher of the envelope. Wildflower President, Garrick Arnold, is the perfect blend of business yin and creative yang.

His Experience:
• restaurant franchise owner for 7 years
• franchise general manager for 2 years
• founder of Wildflower

Vast experiences have prepared him to generate creative solutions for the needs of his clients. Garrick and his wife April created Wildflower, a design and branding studio, in October of 2000. The Arnold’s creative passion is fueled by their desire to help clients utilize design to reach their business goals. They love it when clients reap the benefits of good design.

Today, they build brands. Their expertise? Small to mid-size restaurant operations. Their focus? Creative design and creative execution. They not only design custom visual messages; they strategically execute them to develop, guide and push the brand. Ideas don’t sit on the bench, they are put into action. A creative hub that thinks long-term, scientifically and far beyond the physical design... that’s Wildflower.

The Economy

AUGUST 05, 2008

The Economy:

Obviously the economy is not in great shape. Consumers are looking for value and thinking two or even three times before parting with their money. That being said if your restaurant can communicate its value proposition to consumers this could actually be an opportunity for growth. And value doesn't have to mean price.

Some folks consider a Whole Foods Market a great value. But studies show consumers pay an average of 30% more than a… Continue

Email Marketing has arrived

Posted on July 19, 2008 at 10:30am 4 Comments

The continuing rise in postage rates makes direct mail increasingly less affordable for the restaurant community. Until recently this was one of the best options available for individual locations to market in their own backyard. But now email marketing has finally matured, is easy and affordable to execute and the response rate may just shock you.

How effective is email marketing? Companies like www.mUrgent.com that provide a full range of email marketing services are full of… Continue

Get A Gun

Americans love the underdog and take a perverse sense of pleasure in seeing the Prom King tumble off his throne. Putting that aside here a few important… Continue

How's this for seeing a problem and attacking it head on? Time to buy Starbucks stock.

Wendy says, "You're fired!"

Posted on February 6, 2008 at 12:55pm 4 Comments

So Wendy's kicks their agency,

Saatchi & Saatchi, to the curb along with the wacky red wig

campaign. It's a shame. Even Wendy's admits that while the campaign

didn't cause sales to sky rocket it did get noticed and stimulated

discussion about the brand for the first time since "Where's the… Continue

Hi Garrick, I went to school at Drury there in springfield. Wonderful town. Was always a broke college student back then but came back this last Christmas and was impressed by several places in town. Whats your favorite place?
