- Liz Beddow is the owner of franchised location of The Melting Pot in Thousand Oaks, CA. She launched her own line of wine and global brand, The Golddigger, with Jerry White Jr and Ron Dougherty in 2004 and has grown it to 5 award winning varietals. In December 2008 she took over the failed Alessio’s Italian Ristorante and has created Fiamme Restaurant and Bar and brand.

With the help of three other great ladies we have started a grassroots movement to jump start the economy. It is simple and could be very effective if we can get as many people as possible to participate. Business who want to participate simply need to have a "no strings or gimmick attached" $5 offer. We will help promote FREE! Please help spread the word, it costs you nothing and you may have a lot to gain. Who knows it might even be fun to see if We the People can really Free the People financially or at least have enough impact to be a "wake up call" for our nation, big business and our leaders. An entirely grassroots movement intended to infuse $ 1,018,430,790 into the economy in a single day
If 2/3 of the U.S. population participates, we’ll hit our goal
How: Make an extra $5.00 cash purchase of something you wouldn’t normally buy on April 25th
Make an extra $5.00 cash purchase on April 25th
If you know someone without $5.00 either spend it on them or give them $5.00 to spend
Empower your kids – give them $5.00 to spend, too
Need ideas, check the list www.spendday.info, on Twitter, FaceBook and other online communities
Spread the word – email, download fliers and pass them out; download stickers to wear, tell how you will spend $5.00 – take the pledge.
Why: Because everyone has the power to make a difference
$5.00 can help someone keep their job or keep their business open
