Web Based Staff Scheduling Question

Posted on January 25, 2010 at 7:02am 5 Comments

I came across a simple, intuitive, and cost effective web based scheduling program last week and I was curious as to how many of you would already have a program like this in place and if you dont is this something you would consider?

I currently have a similar program in place in my two restuarants which allows us to post the schedule online and the staff simply visit our url to see when they are working and are able to give up shifts / take shifts (with permission), post their… Continue

Best wishes for a great 2010!

Good luck to everyone this year. 2010 might be the best recovery year in history so lets keep our fingers crossed that the worst is behind us and that the only doors closing are when the customers leave.

I would like to increase my FOHBOH network so send me an invitation if you would like to connect.

Cheers,
DM

Seems that FohBoh doesn't allow outbound links in a comment. IE, if you ask "Hey, about those scheduling companies ...", I cannot post a URL that goes outside of FohBoh. So, they are censoring / dropping those posts. Too bad, as it means I'll go back to not posting here ...

Thanks for the chat today, great to learn about your business. Question ... did you remove the comments that I made to your conversation? Seems someone has deleted some of the responses to your question, and I hope to not find out that it was some sort of censorship by FohBoh. That would be unfortunate.

Hi Doug, welcome to FohBoh...This is a great resource site and I know you're going to find a lot of value here. Check out the Groups link on the main navigation bar...this is where you can find topic-related discussions that I know you'll be interested in.

I recommend you join the Local Store Marketing (LSM) Group for inexpensive ways to help market your business and increase sales, the Coffee Lovers Group because, just about everyone working in a restaurant or restaurant-related profession drinks coffee, and the Leading Generation Y Group because the young people working in restaurants today are part of Generation Y and they have unique desires, needs, and an outlook on work, and finally the Ambitions Group because we all have ambitions and dreams, and this is the place to articulate them, find other kindred spirits, and receive positive support from a great bunch of people.

If you have any questions about the site or how to navigate, I'll be happy to help.

Cheers!
