I started working in restaurants when I was 14 years old, as a salad girl at the Grandview Restaurant in Canfield, Ohio. If you haven't heard of Canfield, that's alright! It's a very nice posh suburb of Youngstown, and I'm sure you have heard of Youngstown. Once I turned 16, I went to better things..McDonalds, where I worked for two years and moved into management. I got a great opportunity to open a new greek restaurant in Boardman, Ohio as an assistant manager at 18, Gyro City. I worked through until I moved to Columbus, Ohio.I worked for Max and Erma's for two years as a store trainer, bartender, expo, pretty much everything!
Well, things weren't well at my location, and in Summer of 2002 I moved home with my parents to pay off all of the credit cards I racked up in college. ( C'mon a free thermos if I sign here, umm ok!) So i started a great career with Applebees which is owned by Thomas and King. I had the opportunity to open 10 Applebees as a corporate trainer, and did many rollouts for the company. I'm now a manager at the Hilliard location with the best management team in the company. I have the best staff I have ever worked with. Andy my RM/DM opens my eyes every day whether in an email, or phone call, total development. I heart my job!

Cindi D's voting and leadership lesson all in a day......

Holy crap! The election is finally OVER! I can't begin to say thank you to all of the networks for all of the jibberjabber off my tv's!!!!

I couldn't be more happier. I walked into my place of voting and I was in and out in 5 minutes (score!). It was 12:30pm and I had to close, so I was sweating bullets that I wouldn't be out in time.

Rookie manager has the first ever CRAZY day, and did NOT freak out........

Have you ever had one of those days when you woak up and just thought " Hmmm, I'm up earlier than my alarm, I'm kicking some ass today, and then one thing leads to another......

Happy Memorial Day Everyone!!

At least at my particular restaurant, Memorial Day is sloooooowwwww. If I wasn't working, you can bet I would have a apron on, margaritas in a blender, and more than likely a hangover tomorrow. HAHA. Changes, people moving on, how to we cope and move on?

This year has just been plain crazy for me! I'm not talking since January, but since a year ago, at least for myself in my professional surroundings. It seems like every time I turn around, someone who I work for or with is gone. In some cases, they have sealed their own fate... being late, being lazy ( scamming my company I work for out of money), or just not performing to the standards that they need to be. Guess who's back in school? This GIRL!! HOLLA!!!!


After six years of speculation, rumors, and being bored with life Cindi D is back in college!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!

Alright, apparently, I am Miss Procrastination! Took well, 6 years off when it was supossed to be a quarter from OSU, whoops! Well, duh I am an Aries afterall. Today, I had a wonderful meeting with an advisor from Franklin University, here in Columbus where I will continue my education!

Hey Cindi! I hope all is good with you. We moved to Boise in late July- still working for Applebee's but it's a different franchise (Applegrove). Things are going pretty well, I still miss AZ and the Thomas and King family, good thing I can still keep in touch! We need "Perfect Beer" up here!!
