Before I opened the cafe, I visited quite a few comparable restaurants and coffeehouses within about a 150 mile radius of here...and my number-one peeve was being told that I had to spend X-dollars in order to use my credit or debit card, and in one instance I was told that if I didn't spend X-dollars, there would be a surcharge.

I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone's selling at a fast clip, and what menu items you're thinking about kicking to the curb.

Of course I can't find the article now, but late last night I was reading online an article that listed the "Dos and Don'ts" of running a restaurant. One of the things the author flagged as a big "DON'T" was "DON'T let your customers see you cleaning. This should be done after hours ONLY."

I oversee both sites, 1 served breakfast to approximately 80-100 individual that are in various programs. The other location serves lunch to clients Monday to Friday participating in life stabilization program. The same restaurant is used for the public on the weekends and will soon be doing dinners and brunch in June.
