Biography
I have always been a major foodie, so I got incredibly lucky when my marketing career landed me in the foodservice biz.

I received my BA in Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2007. I got a job with Foodservicewarehouse.com, a restaurant equipment and supply distributor, pretty much right out of college, and have had an absolute blast the whole time. I really enjoy working for a company that actually values providing an educational resource for the foodservice industry. We currently have the largest free Foodservice Education Center on the net, and are constantly trying to provide our customers with all the tools they need to successfully start a restaurant.

Last August, I became a LEED AP (which means I'm certified to provide consulting for sustainable buildings) because I saw a major gap between the owners and operators of restaurants who were interested in green and the people who are experts in the "green" field. I just wanted to help restaurateurs have a better understanding of what they can do to be more eco-friendly, and at the same time, actually save some money by doing so. With that in mind, I helped found the Certified Green Commercial Kitchen program to take people through the steps of environmentally friendly practices. I have been featured in several magazines for this endeavor, including Business Week, and have had the opportunity to travel around the country talking about the program. I continue to help restaurants take the steps to go green.

I've had a crazy ride in the foodservice industry and am always looking forward to the next step!!!

I just finished a restaurant in North Carolina that focused more on "being green". It's a long road and a lot of hard work to keep it heading in the right direction. Good to know that your specialty is in marketing these companies correctly. Maybe our paths will cross on a project.
