Yes, it's finally happening. FohBoh is creating 50 State Community Partnerships and one new market partner for the United Kingdom. 

The Opportunity

If you are a FohBoh member and active in your state; meaning asking questions about how to improve your foodservice industry business and  socially active and social media savvy, you may qualify as one of 50 FohBoh State Community Partners.

This is an exciting time for the foodservice industry. The more than 20 million industry stakeholders need an central interactive hub for discussing our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as we begin a transformation in part, powered by technology. The social web is changing the rules of the game and we, as an industry, need to adapt and learn, share and engage in a true Community of Practice. That Community is FohBoh.

So, after four years, FohBoh has reached critical mass, over 20,000 combined members from all 50 states and 130 countries in three primary foodservice communities. Our goal is 1 million members in three years and to get there, we need you. Simply put, the more members, shared knowledge and industry connectivity, the more valuable FohBoh will be to our industry.

We are the original foodservice online community, a social network for the restaurant and foodservice industry. This vial and vibrant $1.5 trillion industry is also the essential ingredient in all online conversations. We all know, or should by now, how valuable social media is to running and successfully competing a restaurant in today's market. But, there is also B2B social media and that, is all about Customer Experience Management (CEM). Whether you are serving guests or selling supplies to restaurant operators, the customer is the end user of your products and services and deserves respect, attention and a high quality experience.

We believe that with 50 State Community Partnerships, we can accelerate membership, and the distribution of our social media products, services and educational programs. We can become even more valuable to this vital industry as it becomes relient on technology and interactive engagement. Moreover, our social web intelligence technologies can deliver key local customer insights to local market operators, vendors and service providers. That is what FOHBuzz was created to do; deliver key social insights to any restaurant anywhere, anytime.

Darden Announces Leadership Succession Plan

Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: DRI) announced that Clarence Otis is stepping down as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Darden's Board of Directors has appointed the Company's current Independent Lead Director, Charles A. Ledsinger, Jr., as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. The Company also announced that it has amended its corporate governance policies to provide for the separation of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer roles.

Today the National Restaurant Association issued the following statement regarding the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) decision asserting McDonald’s Corporation is a joint employer of its franchisees:
