Brinker International Honors Select Vendor Partners with
Supplier Partner of the Year Award

DALLAS (Aug. 23, 2011) – Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE: EAT) has awarded three vendor partners
the company’s highest honor, the Supplier Partner of the Year Award. In addition to improving profit
margins through cost reductions, these vendors also helped Brinker and its brands successfully execute
several integral company-wide initiatives.

The 2011 Brinker International Supplier Partner of the Year Award recipients include:

Aon Hewitt – Aon Hewitt, based in Lincolnshire, Ill., and the global human resource consulting
and outsourcing business of Aon Corporation (NYSE:AON), conducted an audit to verify eligibility
of dependents covered under the company’s health care plan;
Simmons Prepared Foods –this Siloam Springs, Ark., company is a key poultry provider, whose
innovation and flexibility led to the development of high quality chicken solutions meeting
rigorous performance requirements for current restaurant and kitchen retrofit initiatives; and
SureGrip Floor Safety Solutions – operating in Tallahassee, Fla., SureGrip enabled Brinker to
consolidate to a single floor cleaning product designed to improve traction on restaurant floors.

The Supplier Partners of the Year were feted at a Brinker corporate all-team member meeting in Dallas
Aug. 19.
