For anyone who's interested in eating locally and lives in the Athens area the First annual "Taste Your Place" event is kicking off in Athens at Cine tonight. Taste Your Place is a 10-day fundraising and awareness raising event for PLACE that reaches out to people through their taste buds. We have 12 participating restaurants that will be offering local food options from July 18th to July 26th. These restaurants and their culinary offerings form the foundation of the week that encourages people to buy, eat, and live locally while at the same time creating truly distinctive culinary experiences in Athens with locally-grown food.
