You always hear of these amazing wines developed in an outhouse with a total of 40 cases ever made.
There is a long list of these amazing wines but the problem is... you can never ever get your hands on a bottle.

I know by default they are impossible to find.
Anyone happen to be in the "in crowd"?

Is there such a thing as a Cult Wine Club? Send me an amazing bottle once a month.

Dreaming.... I know..

Check out Napa Wine Company. They call themselves Cult Wine Central. I've been a member of their wine club for about 7 years. All the cult winemakers have started with them until they can grow and/or acquire their tasting rooms and permits. Some of the most famous wine makers in Napa have hung their wines for sale with this company. It's truely a great find. I'm very happy with them. If you want to enquire, call and ask for Brian. He is very switched on with happenings in the cult wine sector. Tell him I sent you. Here's the contact info: www.napawineco.com - - 7830-40 St. Helena Highway, Oakville, CA 94562 - - 800-848-9630
Jil,
I can not thank you enough. Amazingly I am a rather good researcher and yet I never bothered to actually put in the term "Cult Wines". GREAT Find and I will be calling Brian shortly. I hope you get a kick back or referral of some sort.
Thank you!
I don't know if they have very many cult wines, but I know BevMo online has a HUGE selection of wine. Napa Wine Company (that Jil posted) looks really extensive too
The wine shop where I work, Just Grapes, offers a monthly wine club where one of the options is "Adventurous Wines." They send you two bottles of out there wines each month, usually ones that are difficult to find or unusual varietals. Also, if there is a specific wine you are looking for we can usually track it down if you're willing to invest in a case. But, a Cult Wine Club of really hard to find wines is a great idea, someone should start that up.

Cheers!
Some great suggestions...

but if anyone wants to e-mail me privately their "find" of the month... especially the REDS, please feel free! If you post it here, it's liable to be sold out before we can get to it... especially here in NC.

By the way, I am hearing some great reviews regarding the potential of the 2007 NC Wines, due to the drought last year sweetening up our grapes. There's always a silver lining in everything if you choose to look for it!!!

But I know I am on the lookout for some of the upper end vineyard reserves from last year... Hint, hint.
Also take a peek at and maybe and maybe send an email: www.NatDecants.com.
