I travel all over the country for work and I love pizza! What is the best pizza place where you live so I know where to go when I'm there?

Grand pizza in Stillwater MN, or Brix in Hudson WI...Best pizza in the ST.Croix Valley
Here in Louisville, Kentucky, there is only one choice for the best pizza in town. Papa John's pizza! Yes, I may be a little bias, but it certainly is the pizza of choice. Better Ingredients. Better Pizza.
Hands down, the best pizza in Colorado is Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs (they have a few other locations, but that one is the original). They bill themselves as "colorado-style" pizza...I'm not entirely sure what that means but it seems to be a bit of a cross between deep-dish and california-style. Basically expect a deep-dish pizza with really eclectic ingredients. And the best part is, the crust is a little bit sweet, so when you get past the ingredients, you have some really thick crust that you can slather honey on and enjoy! Also, they have a competition where if 2 people can finish a 12-14 pound pizza in an hour they win money. Oh, and, for all you environmentally conscious people out there, I just learned that they use wind-power for all their electricity. I'm a huge fan...if you couldn't tell. :)
When I lived in Columbia MO, it has to be Shakespeare's Pizza !!
This group has made me hungry for pizza and it's only 10:33 a.m. in Boston! We have excellent pizza and for a long time, my late partner and I used to do a rotating takeout every Thursday. Among the places we'd order from were Uno, Bertucci's, Upper Crust, Regina (in the North End), and Woody's (Fenway). All are terrific.

It took me awhile (except at Uno which offers a fresh (Partially baked) takeout pizza) to get servers to understand when I requested a pizza that was "light baked and not sliced." Doing this means that when you get it home, you can bake it off and have a very fresh pizza that tastes the way it's meant to. Otherwise, unless you go home with it immediately and eat it, it can get very soggy which for me, spoils the experience. Once they got used to my regular order, I had no problems (and lots of great pizza!)
In Indy....there are so many pizza joints here and, admittingly, I haven't hit them all, but if you're looking for unique specialty pies, it's Some Guys Pizza, Bazbeaux's & Puccini's.
