I've been building a list of them over the last two years, and it's still a very small number. Not foodie blogs, which are endless, but industry people.
One I discovered last month is Pilu, from a great Italian restaurant. I like it because they stick to photos with just a few words - how easy!
Punch Pizza has done a FANTASTIC job of using social and 2.0 tools to further their community online. If you scroll through their blog you'll see them covering happenings in their restaurants, requests for feedback, photo contests via Flickr (combo SM!) and more. They also utilize Facebook.
Content ideas can be a challenge for many, but that is where you need to seek creative types to help layout a calendar of content ideas. A few good ideas can lead to a lot of topics, content and value.
Fantastic example - love the photo competition for customers! I can see how once the creative ideas started flowing, it just keeps going eg box-folding competitions - the best!
I'm not Ken, but I have blogged about their engagement in social media before.
I have helped a wide variety of small businesses launch blogs and helping them plan topics, content and ideas is a big part of it. I'm hoping that one of my restaurant clients take the plunge with a blog soon. There is a lot they can do with it do deepen their relationships and form new ones. Thanks!

That's a very well done blog at Pilu, isn't it? Simplicity sells. I have been to far too many that have bells and whistles that distract and drive me away. I'm also not fond of advertising on a blog. I won't take any for my own site.
I would love to see some of the others you've collected.
