There is a fairly new social networking website that is 'like' Twitter, but yet very different.
From my viewpoint
Twitter is a more 'serious' place to make statements about what might be happening in the world or your world. There might be a bit of a back and forth between Tweets, but, most often, I see it as a one way street. Mind you, a busy street!
Plurk is similar to Twitter in that you have to whittle down what you want to say in 140 characters or less. But what is very different, is that you can read the threads of conversations that come from an initial short post from a 'plurker'.
Example:
In addition they provide emoticons to emphasize what you have to say, Karma to keep you plurking away, and some interesting backgrounds to reflect your personality (or not!).
Have something to talk about, and not necessarily a one-way conversation? Give Plurk a try. If you do, look me up: CookingUpAStory , and we can continue to share on the web highway.
Or, let me know if you prefer Twitter! Both are valuable tools, imo!
