Houston-Dallas comparison

These two cities are constantly being compared to one another. From a restaurant perspective we may have similar customer spending habits and per capatia dining numbers but I think there are distinctive differences...do you? Having worked alot in both markets I think the Dallas restaurant scene is heavily influenced by chains and that Houston's is more driven by independents. Thoughts?
