Are any restaurants still paying to have Used Cooking Oil collected?

In the NW much attention has gone into certification for "green" buildings. Architects, engineers and policy specialists have established criteria to measure building performance. Is there any such work being done for Restaurants in conjunction with gov't?

Hello Everyone, I publish Today's Restaurant, the trade newspapers for the food service industry in Florida, Texas and in March 2010 Georgia. In addition to starting Georgia in March we are featuring Going Green. If you would like to contribute an article or some information please let me know at howard@trnusa.com or www.trnusa.com

Hi all green restaurants/green restaurant hopefuls! I just wanted to pop over and tell everyone about the Certified Green Commercial Kitchen program. It is a free certification for green restaurants where we actually walk food service establishments through the process of going green. The whole process is verified and constantly updated by a council of independent experts (with representatives from IFC International, Eco-Logo, the Foodservice Technology Center, and Edison Electric). Our mission is to make greening your restaurant understandable and easy.
