Read an article recently that stated the Georgia unemployment rate was higher than the National average for the first time. Are you seeing evidence of that. Are the restaurants suffering more now? I have not seen the effects yet.

Hello All,

My name is Dan Parsons. I am the director of operations for MBC Concessions at the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. We are a small DBE operator that has been in the airport business for 15 years. Currently, we operate Nature's Table Bistro on E concourse (international).

I am originally from Orlando where I was the director of operation for the Nature's Table franchise company. I came to Atlanta in 06' to get out of corporate life and settle down with my family (no more travel :)

Kelvin, and other members. I am a veteran of our industry and also live in Alpharetta, Matt. In addition to consulting to our local industry I am also finishing my PhD in Bus Admin. My focus - the affect of commitment and intent to stay in the hospitality industry. I will be posting the survey link on fohboh.com this week, and it is also available thru the GRA and other local state restaurant associations, as well as cooperating companies representing several venues. I am studying the responses of current restaurant managers, chefs, and cooks, would be grateful for your participation or the involvement of others you know who fit this description. My company develops paging solutions for the hospitality, retail, medical, automotive industry among others. We have several notable restaurant chains as customers such as Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings and J Alexanders to name a few. Also Disney World is another customer of ours. I forgot to mention casino's as well. We are located in Suwanee just north of Atlanta.

I was happy to see a group from GA on here, but it doesn't seem like there is much going on here. Where's everyone from and what do you do?

I'm in Alpharetta and have my own catering/chef service.
