Restaurant Social Media

I was just in New England for a new restaurant opening and noticed that there is alot more diversity in the area than I had expected. Not just food type but, people at the restaurant, which made the experience so much more satisfying and original. One very open waitress mentioned that she had found the position on women in hospitality.com. Which surprised me, I did not realize that there was a (job) website specifically for women in the hospitality industry.

Check it out.

www.hospitality.com is no longer a valid website. I went there and it gave me an error message that the domain is "not for sale" and there is "no useful" information on the site. Odd?
You mentioned a waitress in a fast casual restaurant. I work in the same sector, and we provide table delivery but not table service. We would like to look at it, but there is a reluctance of people to tip as customers have been trained that this is not needed. This being said we have to pay our FOH workers a decent hourly rate to both work the register, deliver food, and bus tables. How is this concept making the numbers work? Are they able to turn tables fast enough during lunch? Are they doing a decent dinner volume?
