Economy....smishsmonomy.....

It is all driven by the leadership of your company and how they are maximizing their opportinities to continue to drive guest traffic.

YES, lots of people out there are down, BUT, what are they doing or not doing?

Our company is turning a profit in all of this "economic downturn' and we are laughing because we know it is our ability to drive guest traffic that is keeping us in the good.

Good topic, Andy.
To echo your points and Amanda's, for whatever reason, the media is trying to put a "shock " value
to every news story about the economy. The price of gas , of course, is at the top of the list.

The various talk shows are having "guests" on saying you can save money by eating at home and
not traveling.

The newscasts are harping the stories about airlines charging for passengers' luggage.

The Post office and overnight carriers (fed Ex and UPS etc) are suggesting to people to ship
their luggage and not worry about standing in lines and paying the exhorbitant fees.

In other words "Don't let $40 , keep you from a well deserved vacation !"

I have always believed, that there is a solution to every problem or situation.
We can manipulate the economy, or we can do what the media is advising, let the economy manipulate us.
