Hello - What is your favorite coffee brewer and/or what is your preferred method for making coffee?

Are you an "old school" coffee lover using a big can of coffee and an old Mr. Coffee machine, because you can't beat the classics!

Do you Chemex or Meliita pour over to control the extraction yourself?

Are you an espresso junkie with your own commercail set-up at home, maybe a nice LaMarzoco Linea or a Nuovo Simonelli?

Hello, I love french press, it is so easy to control the intinsity of the coffee. But I have to admit that my favorit is my Grandma's old perkelator. It has over 30 years of stains on it, and it still makes some of the best coffee I have ever had.
I only use it three or four times a year, but I relish every time.
Today I just received in the mail my new Techni Vorm moccamaster brewer. It is reputed to be one of the best electric drip brewers available.

I will let you know how it works and the brew quality Tomorrow.

This brewer is made in Denmark and heats the water to 200F producing full extraction, while other brewers only heat the water to 180F not allowing for full flavor extraction.
WOW! what a difference from this new coffee brewer. Amazing - the coffee tastes soo much better and is more enjoyable when is it brewed correctly.

The Technivorm uses a cone filter, like most high-end home machines, but heats the water like a commercial unit.

I find myself drinking much more coffee than before........
In the cafe I use a Bunn commercial brewer that brews the coffee into airpots, and I have a Nuova Simonelli Premiere Maxi espresso machine. I love them both -- they're workhorses...and if I had the counter space in my apartment upstairs, I'd have a NS espresso machine at home, too! Alas, with the lack of space...I have a Cuisinart Grind & Brew that sits on a shelf and never sees any action. Always the bridesmaid....
