I'm an insurance agent for a mid size independent insurance agency located in Dover Delaware. We're licensed in over 35 states and trying to expand our presence. I've recently started working on our website and blog and am looking for advice on design additions/modifications that will attract attention and provide ease of use. Our website is www.cncinsurance.com. Thanks
That's an excellent question. Probably the most effective way to discover the answer is to look at what the age group is of Gen Xers and define what topics are relevant and promote your site in places where they are most likely to receive information.
As a grateful and proud member of Gen X, I know of myself and peers that a balanced lifestyle is important, eco-sustainability, marketing that doesn't insult the intellect, and buying decisions that make economic sense reign supreme. What am I missing?
My personal feedback is I like information that's clean, concise and easy-to-read. I like your 3-step process on your site. It wouldn't hurt to see those links higher up on your homepage, with one-liners on why your business insurance business is better than others. Maybe your marketing can target some of the pointers above if your biz adds value to that end.
Just some food for thought. All for what it's worth. Good luck!
Judy, thanks so much for the feedback. We are trying to make the site accessible without too much of the standard "slick" look so many other sites contain. Trying to make it easy to navigate and get straight to the "point" without distractions. Valuable insight and info. Thanks again.
Hi! I am Diane and I have just joined your group. I too am very interested in Gen X and what motivates them in the workplace. As a researcher and corporate educator, we know Gen Xers have begun to take many leadership roles, but work-life balance is a key factor in their happiness quotient, but traditional restaurant industry management requires lots of hours. How are the Gen Xers in this group keeping the balance, what if the boss does not share this balance philosophy? Does the potential for flexibility attract Gen Xers?
Thanks! Diane
