Suggestions for celebrating the Be Kind To Food Servers Awareness Month

       Be Kind To Food Servers Awareness Month is celebrated in January.

To elevate the status of waiters and waitresses and to establish a positive relationship

between food servers and the dining public.

      I am open to suggestions for creative ways to celebrate this special Month and to get

food servers and the customers involved.

    Last January, I hosted city-wide blood drives with Life Blood. The mobile units went to area

churches and there was a festival atmosphere with food venders and entertainment.

  Food servers were invited to volunteer and donate blood.

    I plan on keeping this as one of the annual events.

  I invite businesses and restaurants to give food servers discounts throughout the month of

January. They present some form of proof that they are employed in restaurants.

      I am looking for creative ways for customers to show appreciation for the food servers.

   I am looking for ways for the food servers to give back to the community and have fun doing it.

     Any suggestions?
