I read this story and had to laugh a little. I'm getting married in a few weeks and with our inventions we asked for everyone to bring with time one recipe to share with us. We wanted to also know why this recipe meant something to them. You see, when we cook we take ideas and inspiration from one person and recreate it to share with others. My recipe cards are not filled out with ingredients, they are filled with story and love.
We at Sanford's Kitchen are proud of our family recipes. I for one think this may become a great opportunity and a new niche marker for more family inspired recipes. After culinary school I showed my mom how to make "proper sauces" and she laughed and told me that she just makes what tastes good.... And you know what? She allays has been able to make thing taste better. You can't replace the soul of food with social media.
Confession...Mom of four who nabs many recipes from Pinterest and StumbleUpon...and at Christmas, I watched a very helpful YouTube vid that assisted me in making Christmas Pierogies...Now if only social media could do the dishes...

Ha! dishes? they have an app for that...
