So, here's a question. Does anyone know who ROC is? Are there any FohBoh members that are also members of ROC? I would like to open up a discussion on their value proposition (if any) to employes, employers and the consumer.
Are they a union? Are they good for the industry or just disruptive?
Founded after September 11th, 2001 by restaurant workers displaced from the World Trade Center, the Restaurant Opportunities Centers United (ROC-United) is a national restaurant workers' organization seeking to improve wages and working conditions for the nation’s more than 10 million low-wage restaurant workers. ROC-United has become a powerful national vehicle for restaurant workers, responsible employers, and diners to lift their collective voices on improving the industry - not only for for food workers, but for all of us. Jaimie... Welcome to FOHBOH.
It will be good to have input from ROC to the FOHBOH network.
We all have a stake in the success of our industry... from CEO to DMO and all of us between.
Can you offer the FOHBOH group three of ROC's specific national goals?
What kind of support does ROC seek from our industry
