Raft Guides are my Heroes. Who else is there in the world that take you down a roaring Class V River, delivering edge of the seat excitement and remaining calm under intense and real life and death pressure? When Plans A, B, and C fail and the raft is flipped over and everyone is swimming in violent whitewater, raft guides are there to scoop up the pieces. If an injury results, Raft Guides are your primary care providers. Raft guides are consummate teachers, helping you develop the skills you need, in no time flat, to understand your whitewater adventure, and during the calmer parts of the trip, raft guides are your nature guide, your historian, your geologist--the one who can tell you about every fault line, about every species of flora and fauna, and can lecture on the history of the surrounding area. And then, when it comes time for lunch or dinner, raft guides are the one creating culinary spreads and dutch oven meals cooked to perfection and can haunt you with ghost stories over a camp fire or make you laugh non-stop with their stupid jokes.

Going whitewater rafting is an experience. Having a skilled raft guide along for the ride will ensure magic. Yep. Raft Guides are my heroes.

My grandfather is my hero. He has taught me that nothing is as important as family! He has taught me to be proud in whatever it is that you do. If you work at McDonalds, scrubbing the toilets, a manager for a fancy restaurant, or a bartender (like me) take pride. If you take pride in everything that you do, then everything great will follow you. Try your best! Work hard, but always give time to the one's that you love. He is the best influences on my life and I love him with all of my heart!
