Restaurant Social Media

Even though I enjoy almost all shows on the Food Network, I think my favorite tv shows on the Food Network are "The Secret Life of", "Good Eats", "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives", and "Unwrapped" These shows satisfy my curiosity of how things are made and where they came from. These shows teach a bit of the history of certain candies and foods, as well as the process of making them and new twists to them that others have tried. My entire family loves watching them and have become somewhat addicted to these shows. Each of these shows has intrigued me with new ideas of things I just "had to try" - for example, using some new techniques or putting together some new flavor combinations I would have never considered doing in the past. They have also challenged me to be inventive on my own to see what new flavor or food I could come up with.

Since almost everyone in this site is involved in the restaurant community in one way or another, I was wondering what others felt about these shows or others you may watch on the Food Network?

Yes, I watch Top Chef and some of the others - Bobby Flay's show among them. They're always fun and enjoyable which is what I look for in TV entertainment.
While most of us have become accustomed to just throwing things into serving dishes as is, it might be nice to occasionally spruce it up a little..so I watch these shows :)
