Restaurant Social Media

I have been asked several times to cook the weekends at some family's house and i always refuse.
First, because I don't know how to charge
Second I am so worn out cooking at my restaurant that I can't spare any free time.
Well, things wil change now, I am selling the restaurant and then i can do weekend cooking for clients.
So, here is my first question. How much do I charge?
Also do I have to pay 359.00 to belong to Personal Chef Network or just advertise in the local phonebook and start my blog? Is that enough for people to find me?

Maria,
You might check your local state laws concerning advertising as an actual business. I know in Indiana there are specific laws concerning this kind of thing. Speaking of personal chef work, I done a 3.5 hour party and cleared over 1,200.00. That is what I call a pretty good gig huh.
I have done a couple parties and I didn't even get close to that much money. The more they will pay is $300.00.

But, guess what, everyone, calls me to do stuff for free. The Speed museum, the women's club and other non profit organizations for the sake of introducing Greek food and helping them too. I've done so many, now is the time to collect some money.

Thanks for your information
