We are always looking for inexpensive ways to garnish steaks. We serve our accompaniments family style, so the presentation of a steak on a plate by itself is important! Does anyone have any creative ideas that would not be too labor intensive or expensive?
Nothing pleases people more than a couple of batter fried onion rings on top. Otherwise you could use the old fashioned spiced apple ring and parsley and maybe a slice of molded compound butter on top of the steak. These are all old steak house garnishes. Probably other people will have better suggestions.
